Marti Gould Cummings moved to NYC at the age of 17 to study musical theatre. During his time as an actor, he toured nationally, was featured on several hit TV shows, and appeared in the Drama Desk nominated musical TWIST off-Broadway. As time went on he realized he was put on this earth to make a difference for the LGBT community.

Since forming BSO! with Anthony Hollock, Marti has become one of NYCs most influential gay rights activist. He has appeared on LOGO, been featured in top gay and Broadway publications, and presented album of the year at the OUTMusic Awards. Through the red carpet interviews, sit down interviews, weekly talk show, and benefits he hosts, he truly has given a voice to the younger generation in the LGBT community. Marti will continue to fight for equality until all people have gained equal rights under the law.

Anthony Hollock graduated from Point Park University in Pittsburgh with a degree in musical theatre. Upon his graduation, he moved to NYC. Not long after his arrival in the Big Apple he landed the top gig in the theatre world. He was cast in the Public Theatres revival of HAIR. The show as originally mounted in Central Park as a three-day concert. The following year it became the hit of the summer, running for several weeks and being extended twice.

Due to the success of this production in the park, the Public Theatre decided to move it to Broadway. Anthony has since been crowned Mr. Broadway 2009 in the Mr. Broadway Beauty Pageant. HAIR has given him the opportunity to be featured on The Soup, The Tony Awards, The View, Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan OBrien, Last Call with Carson Daly, and more! He will be making his West End debut in London with the company of HAIR in the spring of 2010.

Anthony formed BSO! with Marti Gould Cummings as a way of showing the world they deserved the same rights under the law and as a way to spread equality with his friends in the Broadway community.

David Allen Singletary received his B.F.A in musical theatre from the University of Tampa. He began performing in theatre, film, and television at a young age. He has been seen in several shows for Walt Disney World, as well as Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Favorite regional roles include Albert in Bye Bye Birdie, Hysterium in A Funny Thing Happened..., Charlie Brown in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, and Genie in the national tour of Aladdin. He was most recently seen flipping his fins around the nation in The Little Mermaid.

Thank you to all of the amazing Broadway Speaks OUT! volunteers who continue to support what we do and help us at all of our events!

About BSO!

The Voices of Broadway & Entertainment Speaking OUT for EQUALITY

In the fall of 2008 Proposition 8 took place in California, denying thousands of couples the right to marry. Upon hearing this news Marti Gould Cummings and Anthony Hollock formed Broadway Speaks OUT!

As a member of the Broadway community, Anthony encouraged Marti to start a talk show online by interviewing friends of theirs who have appeared on Broadway. This grew into a very successful endeavor, even leading to a hit concert series benefiting LGBT organization in NYC.

Broadway Speaks OUT! has attended the Tony Awards, the Drama Desk Awards, and Logos NewNowNext Awards, just to name a few. Due to all of this, BSO! has had the opportunity to interview the likes of Liza Minnelli, Bette Midler, Audra McDonald, Gavin Creel, Rosie ODonnell, and countless others about how their careers are helping to pave the way for LGBT equality.

In edition to this red carpet coverage, BSO! has a weekly live show hosted by Marti, Anthony, and David Singletary. This show brings in thousands of viewers every Tuesday night at 10pm. The topics discussed cover a wide variety of hot topics relating to the mission of BSO!

The Broadway Speaks OUT! concert series has benefited organizations such as Broadway Impact and The Ali Forney Center for Homeless LGBT Youth. Each concert features a wide variety of TV Stars and Broadway entertainers. Each performer brings their uniqueness to the stage by performing songs or giving inspirational speeches about why equality is important for all people. BSO has raised thousands of dollars to help the fight for Equality in NYC, they are now taking the show on the road and will be hosting benefits in LA, Chicago, & London in 2010.
